Church and Hospital Of The Holy Spirit was built in the years 1332-1339 on the banks of the river Pegnitz and it was the largest private endowment in the Holy Roman Empire. From 1424 to 1796 the imperial coronation jewels were stored here. Today it serves as part of a retirement home and restaurant.
